Venezuela´s Anzoátegui State condemns US blockade against Cuba

Caracas, Jul 7 (Prensa Latina) The Anzoátegui Legislative Council, in Venezuela, on Thursday passed an agreement in solidarity with Cuba and in rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States.

Anyer Henríquez Medina, President of the Anzoátegui Legislative Council, stated that Venezuela-Cuba relations are increasingly strengthened over time and also due to resistance against US aggressions.

“Both countries, with gallantry and dignity, raise the flags of peace and conscience,” said Henríquez Medina in statements.

When reading the agreement of the Legislative Council, Lawmaker Dinorah Requena stressed the US blockade against Cuba is a real genocide and classed as genocide, by causing damages worth around $148 billion, in addition to the impact on the enjoyment of the human rights of the Cuban people.

Plus, Requena pointed out the United States has disrespected international law and Cuba´s willingness to keep its sovereignty and self-determination.
