Venezuela to Overcome All Difficulties on its Path to Prosperity

Caracas, July 23 (Prensa Latina) President Nicolas Maduro has ratified Tuesday that the Venezuelan people maintain their emancipatory character assumed for more than two centuries in the struggle for sovereignty.

After the new electromagnetic attack against the National Electric System (SEN), the Head of State stressed on Twitter that Venezuela will overcome all difficulties and is on its way to prosperity for the population.

‘We are a people who have fought for more than two centuries against colonialism, slavery, racism and all forms of imperial aggression. We will never bow to aggression. We will overcome all difficulties and achieve prosperity. Our destiny is to triumph,’ Maduro wrote on the digital platform.

The President, a few hours after the sabotage of the Simon Bolivar Hydroelectric Distribution Station, located in El Guri Dam, in the state of Bolivar, explained to Venezuelans that they would work to recover the SEN in the shortest time possible.

Maduro emphasized that the March and April aggressions this year allowed the creation of protection and security protocols to guarantee a fast and stable process of electrical reconnection.

In this regard, the National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec) pointed out that so far the central and eastern states of the country have fully restored service.

The Venezuelan government, through a press release, informed on Monday that around 16:45 hours ‘a national event of interruption to the supply of electricity was presented’.

The document refers that the first investigations carried out in the Lower Caroni produced as a result ‘the existence of an electromagnetic attack’ to the main hydroelectric power plant in Venezuela.
