US President Remarks Against Venezuela Are Rejected in Cuba

Havana, Aug 25 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan Ambassador to Havana, Ali Rodriguez, rejected Friday the remarks and diabolic plans of the US government against his country, trying to overthrow the government of President Nicolas Maduro.

‘We have a path, we have had it for many years and we will not give up to any kind of pressure by the White House,’ Rodriguez assured during a march from Casa de las Americas in Havana up to the monument to Simon Bolivar.

In the activity supporting the Bolivarian Revolution of Venezuela organized by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples of the World (ICAP), there were foreign students and workers, solidarity groups and diplomats, among them the Bolivian Ambassador to Havana, Juan Ramon Quintana.

‘The US wastes its own time monitoring democracy in distant lands of the world, but in its own national territory, the needs of the minorities are not taken care as they should,’ Quintana pointed out.

‘The bigger the challenge to Venezuela is, the bigger is the greatness of the Venezuelan people. We don’t want a war, we want peace. But they seem not to know that,’ Rodriguez added.

Also speaking in the activity, Cuban hero Fernando Gonzalez, president of the ICAP, ratified the Cuban position to support the Bolivarian Revolution started by Hugo Chavez.

‘A people that is respected, will always fight for its independence and sovereignty. Venezuela is not alone,’Gonzalez stated.
