Tourism seminar’s academic phase winds up in Cuba

Havana, Jun 19 (Prensa Latina) The academic phase of the 17th International Seminar on Journalism and Tourism, which is being held in this capital until June 21, will conclude on Wednesday with signs of satisfaction from the participants.

Some 45 journalists, mainly from Latin America, Canada, and Cuba, along with delegations from Colombia and Mexico, attended the meeting.

Discussions on current trends in the travel industry and the influence of artificial intelligence in tourist developments monopolize the talks and meetings.

In addition to the keynote speeches, participants will move to the Varadero beach, east of Havana, on Wednesday to get in touch with one of Cuba’s leading sun and beach destinations.

The event is held every June at the Jose Marti International Institute of Journalism in Havana. It is organized by the Cycle of Tourism Journalists at the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC).
