Three Cubans are candidates for Gold Glove MLB

The outstanding performance of Cuban baseball players in Major League Baseball in the United States is a widely known issue. Given their vast skills three of them are Gold Glove finalist.

Shortstop Alexei Ramirez, Chicago White Sox, left fielder Yoenis Cespedes, Red Sox and also shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria, Miami Marlins, are the three Cubans up to 54 candidates for mentioned award. The first two play in the American League while the latter is in the National League.

Rawlings announced the finalists for the 2014 Gold Glove awards Thursday afternoon. There are three finalists per position, and the winners will be announced Friday, Nov. 11, at 8 p.m. As a reminder, Gold Glove voting consists of two components: 75 percent from managers and coaches and 25 percent from statistical data.
