Thousands of Foreign Nationals Graduate from Cuban Mining University

Havana, Cuba, Jul 15.- Some 8 thousand foreign professionals have graduated from the Antonio Nunez Jimenez Metal and Mining Higher Institute, in the eastern Cuban municipality of Moa, home to major Cuban mining sites.Mining, metal, mechanic, electronic engineers, geologists, and bachelors in accountability and social communication have graduated at the Cuban university.

One of those graduates is Koffi Kacho Yon Babtiste from Ivory Coast, who thanked Fidel Castro and the Cuban Revolution for his course and for having been granted his diploma of engineer in the metal sector.

The graduates are from Ghana, Angola, Ivory Coast, Namibia, Sri Lanka and Djibouti, and other nations.

The University, linked to the Cuban nickel sector, has a large network of labs that support the training of professionals as well as a postgraduate center, and many other facilities that back the professional training process.(ACN)
