
June 21 (Radio Cadena Agramonte) Camagüey, Jun 21st.- The technological literacy campaign organized by the Young Computers Clubs and Electronics (JCCE) in this province will soon be extended to the communities of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes and Camagüey, based on the work of their regional leaders, this Thursday.
The program is carried out with the purpose of showing the appropriate use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) to different segments of the population, especially those with the least contact with them, and to promote the services of the 44 facilities of this type that Camagüey has.
The communiy of Vertientes iniciated the experience, where laptops, mobile phones and other resources based on that goal arrived in the hands of JCCE workers to nursing homes, day care centers (nurseries), schools, hospitals, penitentiaries and rural communities .
From June 25th the program will be shown to Cespedes for a month, while in the community of Camagüey, due to its extension, will apply from July to December to come, to reach each one of its popular councils.
Among the first beneficiaries during the months of July and August will be those who live in areas of Julio Antonio Mella, Eden, Buenos Aires, La Vigía and Florat districts, or near to them.
In both cases the JCCE options will be promoted, applications of various topics, videos, educational programs will be made available to the population and it will be oriented on the use of the devices, safe internet surfing and other issues to be taken into account for the effective use of ICTs.
