Havana, March 18 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban psychoballet therapeutic project strengthens its presence in Latin America, the Caribbean and European nations, stressed Monday the creator of this treatment method for people with special needs, Georgina Fariñas.
The special dancing therapy, which interrelates science and art already has subsidiaries in most states of Mexico, Puerto Rico, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Martinique, Ecuador, Bolivia and Argentina, Fariñas told Prensa Latina.
We have also materialized the project in European countries, such as Italy, France, Croatia and Czech Republic, for the interest of the specialists of those territories to improve the quality of life of these people, she added.
All friends of other lands who want to develop our experience, we are in the best disposition to support the formation of the human resources, she indicated.
According to the Cuban expert, the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro was enchanted by the idea of a
Psychoballet. He had asked her for collaboration to make culture and health in the country.

Fariñas meant that the 46-year-old therapeutic method is an honorary member of the International Dance Council of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
In this achievement, the unconditional support of Prima Ballerina Assoluta Alicia Alonso, director of the National Ballet of Cuba, and the former director of the Psychiatric Hospital of Havana, Eduardo Bernabe Ordaz (1921-2006), among other personalities, participated.
