Sierra Leone News: Cuba to send medical team to Salone

The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba has sent notification to the Embassy of Sierra Leone in Addis Ababa, on Monday 4 September 2017, that they are willing to supply an emergency medical team for three months to help the survivors of the mudslides and flooding.
The Cuban team will include 11 personnel; four specialists in comprehensive internal medicine; two specialists in epidemiology; three nurses; one (1) Coordinator and the Head of the Cuban Medical Team who will be assisted by a logistics specialist.
The Cuban notification, which was received by Ambassador Keh Kamara, Sierra Leone’s Permanent Representative to the African Union, has been transmitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for necessary action. Cuba will await a response from Sierra Leone.
