Santiago de Cuba Enjoys the Sea in the Summer

cuba-malecon-santiagoSantiago de Cuba, Aug 20 (Prensa Latina) — After a long time, these summer days the inhabitants of Santiago de Cuba enjoy the bay landscape, after the construction of the first section of a malecon and a boardwalk.

A remarkable influx of public focuses in that area, where several playgrounds and other entertainment venues delight families by the Michelsen Avenue or La Alameda Avenue, which got an image improvement following the celebrations of the 500th anniversary of Santiago on July 25.

The brewery Puerto del Rey became a major attraction with varied gastronomic offers to refresh the high temperatures.

Other long-cherished desire of Santiago met with the launching of a passenger boat that allows appreciate an unusual landscape of the city.

Also stands the tourist road, now with enhanced traffic signaling and other benefits.

This road provides access to the Castle of San Pedro de la Roca del Morro, a World Heritage Site and one of the most visited sites in the city by national and foreign tourists.
