Russia and Cuba agree on food products export

Moscow, May 13 (Prensa Latina) The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Control (Rosselkhoznadzor) reported that it agreed with the Cuban Ministry of Agriculture on the possibility of supplying the island with a wide range of food products.

According to the statement, both agencies approved veterinary certificates for exporting meat, dairy and fish products from Russia to Cuba, Sputnik news agency reported.

The note expanded that possible shipments include meat, meat raw materials and by-products obtained from the slaughtering and processing of cattle, pigs and poultry.

Deliveries from Russia of milk and dairy products, canned food, sausages and other types of prepared meat products have also been agreed.

The agreement allows exports of fish and seafood, as well as products from their processing.

The corresponding certificates were published on Rosselkhoznadzor’s official website.

The Russian regulatory service indicated that the facilities from where the supplies to Cuba will be made will be evaluated taking into account the fulfillment of the norms established by the legislation of Cuba.
