Puerto Padre, Las Tunas.- The reconstruction of the dock located on the Puerto Padre seawall will begin in the second half of the current year.
The work, allocated to the Municipal Direction of Transport, has been described as complex and is fundamental for the tourist development of the territory. It has an initial budget of around two million pesos, a figure that will increase as the project progresses.
Engineer Luis Enrique Arias, provincial director of the sector, said that cement, aggregates and steel are guaranteed for the manufacture of pilings, which take about 90 days to be ready to place in the sea, according to methodology.
Arias, explained that the objective is to have most of the materials to start without any unexpected event, so that the Group of the Construction of Nuevitas can advance in the work.
The project for the reconstruction the Villa Azul dock was conceived by Crever Design and Engineering Company. The structure, 100 meters long and six meters wide, will have a covering of wood to achieve greater aesthetic and attractive.
The Transport Group also manages the design for repairing the dock in the Juan Claro Cay, with a view to the future arrival of cruise ships.
