Camaguey, Feb 20.- Ramona de Saá Bello, director of the Cuban National Ballet School, received in this city, the Espejo de Paciencia distinction, the most prestigious award given by the Directorate for Culture in the territory, due to her contributions to classic dance teaching in the country.
The people of Camaguey honors me, I am moved and committed to continue supporting the company and school of ballet in this province, to which I have been linked during my working life, the prominent artist said.
She also said that the future of the ballet in the country depends on the well-rounded training of students and young talents that we have in the classrooms, of their love and sense of belonging, and for what they represent for the Cuban people.
Maître and choreographer, Ramona de Saá is National Dance Award and founder of the National Ballet of Cuba (BNC).
The award ceremony took place at the Vicentina de la Torre Art Academy, in the framework of the Methodological Workshop of Professional Ballet Schools, in which students and teachers of the elementary education of this artistic manifestation honored the ballerina on the stage.
