Havana, Feb 4 (Prensa Latina) The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, evaluated today the transformations carried out in the Havana neighborhood of Cotorro, regarding the government plan to revitalize vulnerable communities on the island
According to a message from the Presidency, on the Twitter social network account, the president visited repairs of social works and spoke with the neighbors, whom he urged to participate and control these initiatives, to achieve the best use of resources.
Díaz-Canel toured the family’s medical office, the market and the Luis de la Puente elementary school, as well as the garden Pioneers of the Future.
“We have to continue working and maintaining what we have done to advance in the solution of new problems. Improve the infrastructure, but also work on the spirituality of the communities,” he said in the talk with the inhabitants.
During a recent meeting of the secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (PCC) in the Antillean nation, the head of state stated they are working to respond to community problems, but there are still many pending.
Despite the achievements, not all localities work with the same creativity, insistence and initiative, he acknowledged at the meeting where challenges such as caring for vulnerable people and eradicating social vulnerability gaps, among others, transcended.
