In the far north of the Hicacos peninsula, home of the most famous beach in Cuba, the tourist village of Plaza Las Morlas has various leisure and entertainment facilities around its wonderful promenade.
This new option in Varadero offers gastronomic outlets, entertainment, wellness and water sports, alongside Meliá Marina Varadero, a large resort combining the beach with the marina.
The restaurants at Plaza Las Morlas include two specialising in Latin American cuisine, both well worth a visit. One of these is El Charro, where guests can savour the typical flavours of Mexico in their tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, burritos, tequila and Coronita beers, which can be enjoyed on outdoor terraces or in an air-conditioned space with views of the marina.
The other is El Gaucho, serving grilled meats, empanadas, breaded fillets and other delicacies from the Pampas of Argentina, accompanied by the most well-known brands of beer and wine.
Both spaces are open for dinner seven days a week, from 18:30 to 22:00. At Plaza Las Morlas, couples, families and groups travelling on business or for pleasure will find an original way of enjoying Cuba to a new beat.
