Penn State baseball will travel to Cuba over Thanksgiving break for a “unique cultural and educational experience,” coach Rob Cooper announced today.
The team partnered with the Centro de Estudios Martianos (Center for Marti Studies) to provide the student-athletes with the opportunity to experience Cuban history and culture. They will attend lectures and tour Cuba during the visit.
In addition, the team will play three to four exhibition games. Potential opponents include university teams and Cuban national squads.
