Beirut, Apr 22 (Prensa Latina) The League of Palestinian who graduated in Cuba condemned on Thursday the US blockade against Cuba in a message to which Prensa Latina had access in Beirut.
‘We are aware of and witnesses to the suffering caused by the economic, commercial and financial siege imposed by Washington against the Cubans since 1962,’ the letter states.
Cuba is recognized for its moral and human stature, the document adds, defined by its unconditional solidarity that annuls a recent White House decision to include it in the list of countries that sponsor terrorism, the letter denounces.
The blockade is unjust, inhuman and unjustified, it affirms, its aim is to cause hunger and diseases, despite which Cuban scientists have developed Covid-19 vaccines that have so far been successful in the phase of advanced clinical trials.
The communique by the Palestinian group also celebrates the 60th anniversary of the victory over the US invasion on Playa Giron (Bay of Pigs), in central Cuba, and Miguel Diaz-Canel’s election as head of the Communist Party of Cuba.
