Over 170 Companies Confirm Participation in Health for All Fair

hart-doctor2[1]HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 3 (acn) A total of 177 companies from 28 countries, 35 of them Cuban, have confirmed their participation in the 13th edition of Havana’s Health for All Trade Fair, which will run from April 20th to the 24th at PABEXPO Pavilion.

This exhibition has a contracted area of 3,599 square meters, a figure higher than that of 2005, when the last meeting of this kind was held, announced the organizing committee.

The meeting’s program includes keynote lectures, one of them on the development of Orthopedics in Cuba, by Doctor and Professor Rodrigo Alvarez Cambras, director of the Frank Pais International Orthopedics Complex and president of the Cuban Society of that specialty.

Also, Dr. Manuel Raíces, a scientist with the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, will speak about Heberprot-P as a Cuban biotech product and its use in reducing the risk of amputation due to diabetic foot ulcers in Cuba.

Meanwhile, Dr. Yiliam Jimenez, director for Commercialization of Cuban Medical Services, will speak about the contracting of health services, and Rafael Perez will talk about the role of the national regulatory authority in the research, development and transformation on health technology.

The program includes 35 scientific activities, such as lectures and presentations of products, in addition to the fact that in the awards ceremony eight trophies and 35 certificates of recognition will be handed over.

This commercial meeting is part of the 2015 Cuba Health International Convention, which will be held simultaneously at Havana’s Convention Center.
Health for all, universal coverage, is the slogan of the meeting, the main purpose of which is to analyze different issues associated with health in Cuba and the world.

The meeting of the World Federation of Public Health Associations will be held within the context of the Convention, in order to implement a Regional Network of National Associations of Public Health of the Americas, added the organizing committee.
