Nordic brigade of solidarity visited Che memorial in central Cuba

Santa Clara, Cuba, Dec 18 (Prensa Latina) Members of the Nordic Brigade of Volunteer Work and Solidarity with Cuba paid tribute to Commander Ernesto Che Guevara at the memorial that keeps his remains in this central Cuban city on Saturday.

The delegation consisted of solidarity people from Sweden, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Germany, who toured the museum and the memorial where, along with Che Guevara, the niches of the fallen combatants in the guerrilla war in Bolivia in 1967 are also kept.

The figure of Tamara Bunke, who fell in an ambush after crossing Rio Grande in Puerto de Mauricio, Bolivia, was recalled by the German brigade members, who exalted the figure of the guerrilla fighter, who was known as Tania la Guerrillera.

Danish Inge Hogh, who recently received the Friendship Medal from the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), emphasized her traditional unity with the Cuban people.

“I have promoted solidarity with Cuba in my country for 40 years, and I have spoken out in several parts of the world to have the cruel blockade imposed by the United States Government against this island removed,” Hogh said.
