Managua, 18 Jul (Prensa Latina) Just over 24 hours before the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista Popular Revolution, the presence of foreign governors for the celebration grows with the arrival this Thursday of Cuba’s first Vice President, Salvador Valdes Mesa.
Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez will also be present, and both will join the list of more than 500 foreign guests for the celebration of this historic date.
Anatoly Bibilov, President of South Ossetia, Dmitry Medoev, Foreign Minister, and his concurrent ambassador from Caracas, Venezuela, are already on Nicaraguan territory.
Alberto Anaya, leader of the Workers’ Party of Mexico, and Medardo Gonzalez, of the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front of El Salvador; and representatives of the organization Veterans of Peace, social and religious leaders of the United States.
The central act for the date will be in the Plaza de la Fe in Managua, located just meters from the border between the city and Lake Xolotlan, the second largest lake in the Central American country.
