Muscat, Nov 2 (Prensa Latina) The National Ballet of Cuba (BNC) became a very pleasant surprise in Oman for lovers of music and dance with the performance of Don Quixote, according to local press reports.
Virtuoso dancers of the company led by the prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso offered at the Royal Opera House in Muscat three presentations of excellence with the brilliant routine of one of the most interesting and entertaining works of world ballet.
Cuban diplomatic sources told Prensa Latina that the Omani media described the performance of the BNC as a very pleasant surprise and highlighted their great debut before an audience that appreciated the grace, style and mastery of the talented artists.
In Don Quixote, a work described as cheerful and of beautiful classicism well suited to the Cuban company, dancers highlighted their technical prowess and spectacular staging.
The famous National Ballet of Cuba is one of the most prestigious dance companies worldwide, which boasts a specialized traditional repertoire, besides working with innovative choreographers to create contemporary pieces.
Its has performed in theaters of more than 58 countries, sources recalled.
