
Havana, Jul 21 (Prensa Latina) The Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported on Thursday that 9,976,734 Cubans, who make up 90 percent of the population, have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
According to the Ministry’s website, 10,682,802 citizens have been administered a shot of homegrown vaccines; 9,419,017 people have received the second dose; and 9,120,464 Cubans have been administered the third dose.
Therefore, Cuba has administered 39,059,403 doses of Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala vaccines, and 7,433,513 people have received a booster shot, according to the MINSAP update.
The Cuban vaccines are safe and do not have serious adverse effects, the successful clinical trials conducted have proved so.
According to Cuba’s National Office of Statistics and Information, by late 2020, the Cuban population totaled some 11,180,000 inhabitants.
