
Havana, Sep 14 (Prensa Latina) The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Director-General Qu Dongyu arrived in Cuba on Thursday to attend the G77+China Summit that will be opened tomorrow in Havana.
Upon his arrival, Qu Dongyu held a meeting with Cuban Minister of Agriculture (MINAGRI) Ydael Perez, as posted on Social Media X at the official account of the Cuban presidency.
FAO and MINAGRI work in conjunction to strengthen food production in Cuba.
During his stay, Qu will meet with several leaders and government authorities participating in the Summit.
Likewise, he will be visiting local development project ¨Finca Vista Hermosa¨, located in Guanabacoa municipality, a farm that benefits from several FAO initiatives in Cuba, which promotes transformation of agricultural-food systems to make them more inclusive, efficient, sustainable and resilient.
