MINREX: Cuba congratulates Mexico on National Holiday

Havana, Sep 16 (Prensa Latina) Cuba on Saturday congratulated the Mexican people and government on the occasion of the 213th anniversary of the Cry for the Independence.

On X social media, Cuba´s Foreign Ministry (MINREX) reiterated Havana’s willingness to continue strengthening friendship and cooperation ties between the two nations.

From Cuba, where we feel Mexico as one of the most beloved brothers of Our America, congratulations to all Mexican people, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel posted on X social media.

Mexico’s independence was the consequence of a long political and social armed process that put an end to Spanish rule after the Grito de Dolores by Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla on the night of September 15 and early morning of September 16, 1810, which was linked to the Agrarian Revolution 100 years later, in 1910.
