
Mexico City, May 6 (Prensa Latina) Mexico’s Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Marcelo Ebrad, expressed the solidarity of his government and compatriots with the victims of the explosion registered today in a hotel in Havana, Cuba.
In a message on Twitter, Ebrad regretted the event and confirmed that President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s visit to Cuba scheduled for this Sunday, May 8, will be maintained.
I regret the explosion at the Saratoga Hotel in Havana, Cuba. Our solidarity to the victims and those affected, as well as to that dear brotherly people. The planned tour continues as planned, the foreign minister said on the social network.
Presidential spokesperson, Jesus Ramirez, also confirmed that Lopez Obrador’s visit to Havana will continue.
This Friday, an explosion in the hotel destroyed an important part of its infrastructure, with a preliminary death toll of five people.
