Along with the tweet, the head of state attached a video of the reception and meeting with the Cuban high-ranking official, who arrived last night in this country on an official visit. For her part, Rodriguez, in a tweet, also remarked the ties with Venezuela and described her meeting with Maduro as friendly.
As reported in her Twitter account, the exchange allowed for a dialogue on issues of the bilateral agenda and regional affairs.
“Great satisfaction to return to the homeland of the independence hero Simon Bolivar and leader Hugo Chavez,” the head of Cuban diplomacy wrote .
On October 30, 2000, revolutionary leaders Fidel Castro (1926-2016) and Hugo Chavez (1954-2013) signed the Venezuela-Cuba Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement, an expression of the will of both nations to develop ties in favor of the welfare of their peoples.
By virtue of these agreements, the governments of Havana and Caracas complement their capacities in the areas of food, education, health, science and technology, in the face of the impact of the aggressions and unilateral coercive measures of the United States.
