Leader of Mexican Solidarity Movement with Cuba dies

Mexico City, Jun 10 (Prensa Latina) Jesus Escamilla, prominent leader and coordinator of the Mexican Solidarity Movement with Cuba, passed away as a Covid-19 victim, after several days fighting the disease.

The renowned social fighter with a history upholding friendship between peoples, and a great admirer of Cuba, tireless defender of the Cuban Revolution and its leader Fidel Castro, died surrounded by his loved ones at home, where he was medically treated.

His death occurred on Tuesday afternoon and surprised friends and colleagues in the solidarity movement, expressed their inconsolable sadness in a statement.

The Cuban Embassy in Mexico City, members of the Mexican solidarity movement and Cuban residents in this country are very moved for this irreparable loss and expressed this sadness to his relatives.
