
Havana, Mar 31 (Prensa Latina) With a show by the children”s theater company La Colmenita, the Havana-based Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (EGREM) is celebrating its 55th anniversary on Sunday.
The Karl Marx Theater will host the show, at which several first-level artists from EGREM’s catalog will perform, in addition to the theater company directed by Carlos Alberto Cremata.
La Colmenita and the 55th anniversary of EGREM is the name of the show, which will feature Issac Delgado, Alexander Abreu, Lele (Van Van), Beatriz Marquez, Eliades Ochoa, Luna Manzanares and the duet Buena Fe, among other musicians.
Established in 1964, EGREM has the largest musical archive in Latin America and is a leader in managing Cuban music.
International music icons like Nat King Cole and Josephine Baker, as well as the Cuban orchestras Los Van Van, Irakere and Buena Vista Social Club, and the singer songwriters Silvio Rodriguez and Pablo Milanes, have recorded in EGREM’s studios.
