Japanese Television Broadcasts Cuba’s Progresses in Public Health

August 14 2014 (Prensa Latina) The Japanese television broadcast today a special prime-time program dedicated to the Cuban public health with some footage shot at hospitals of that nation and the Havana-based Latin American School of Medicine.

The Japanese television’s program, included in the popular show Nep and Imoto’s World Ranking, reflected the characteristics of the Cuban health system worldwide recognized such as quality, free and high professionalism of the medical staff.

Other aspects highlighted in the program were the preventive and community nature of the island’s health system through the work of a family’s doctor, the impact of the Cuban solidarity in the public health area with its participation in programs in many countries, and the training of physicians.
