Japanese company Kinoshita makes donation to Cuba

Tokyo, Aug 3 (Prensa Latina) The Kinoshita group, a Japanese film production company, made a valuable contribution of inputs to the Cuban healthcare system, the Cuban Embassy here reported on Tuesday.

According to the diplomatic mission, the donation will help strengthen Cuba’s medical capacities to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. Among the companies that make up the Kinoshita conglomerate stands out the film producer and distributor Kino Films, which in 2017 premiered the film Ernesto, a co-production with the Cuban company RTV comercial.

The Japanese group has sent representatives to Cuba 17 times and is an active promoter of Cuban culture in Japan.

In 2017, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Commander Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara’s fall in combat, Kinoshita organized several events in Japan, including an exhibition of 240 photos taken by Che himself in the 1950s and 1960s.
