
Tokyo, Aug 24 (Prensa Latina) Cuba’s embassy in Japan received on Tuesday a donation of medical supplies to help fight against the Covid-19 pandemic on the country, which reported 9,907 new cases on Tuesday.
We received the first delivery of 25 pulmonary ventilators and 25 support trolleys for the Cuban healthcare system, acquired with the generous donation of Japanese friends and Cubans living in Japan, the diplomatic office disclosed on a press release.
The president of the Cross Medical Service company, Fumio Kuronuma, handed over the units to Ambassador Miguel Ramirez, in the presence of the marketing company Shin ei International.
The Cuban embassy announced that the remaining equipment will arrive in the upcoming few days, as well as a total of 50,400 syringes and 100,000 needles.
