International Congress of Recycling Underway in Cuba

Havana, Cuba, Jun 24.- Delegates from ten countries linked to the recovery of raw materials will exchange experiences and knowledge during the 13th International Congress of recycling, to be held from June 23 to 25 in this city. The event, which will run in the context of CubaIndustria 2014, also seeks to promote dialogue between managers, entrepreneurs, experts, academics and all those who in their daily activities have a responsibility to encourage initiatives and actions for the recovery, processing and marketing of reusable waste.

Adriana Barceló, Industrial Management CEO of the Industry Ministry, told reporters that new technologies that make business management more efficient will be presented at the meeting.

The experts will also address issues related to the reuse of plastic wastes and non-metallic products, hazardous waste management and the purchase of raw materials, and the importance of developing education projects and increase recycling culture.

The program also includes the implementation of a trade fair where accessories, parts, components, equipment and technologies used in various sectors of production and services will be shown.

The meeting is also an opportunity for attendees to identify new business opportunities with Cuba that encourage the creation of joint ventures, partnerships and joint production agreements.(acn)
