Athens, Sep 20 (Prensa Latina) Friendship and solidarity organizations in Greece reiterated on Friday their support for Cuba and the rejection to the blockade imposed by the US government for almost six decades.

Cuba’s Ambassador to Greece, Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina, visited the stands of several of these institutions at the 45th Communist Youth of Greece Festival (KNE) in a central park in Athens, where she was welcomed with messages of support.

Activists from the Greek-Cuban Friendship Association, the Greek Committee for International Democratic Solidarity (EEDDA) and the Greek Committee for International Detente and Peace (EEDYE) welcomed Cuban diplomats to the festival.

These organizations have shown permanent solidarity with the Cuban Revolution and condemned the US economic, commercial and financial blockade, which they describe as unfair.

During the visit, the Cuban ambassador and charge d’affaires exchanged ideas with activists on the main issues affecting the island and the actions to be taken to continue the work of solidarity with Cuba.

Within the framework of the 45th Festival, a mass act of condemnation of the blockade and unconditional support for Cuba and its people was held last night.
