
Basseterre, Jan 26 (Prensa Latina) Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Timothy Harris, accepted the credentials of new Cuban Ambassador David Rivero and highlighted the friendship between both nations, Caribbean media reported on Wednesday.
At the ceremony, Harris welcomed the Cuban diplomat and ratified that his country shares strong ties with this neighboring Caribbean people.
In this regard, the website of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs also highlighted both parties’ willingness to keep on strengthening cooperation in areas of common interest.
It reported that, at the ceremony, Harris thanked Cuban medical collaboration and especially the contribution of the Henry Reeve Medical Brigade, which worked in his country for one and a half year to curb the Covid-19 pandemic.
The prime minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis also reiterated his government’s unwavering stance against the blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba and assured that he will always support this sister nation’s cause, according to the statement by the Cuban foreign ministry.
