French parliamentary leader condemns blockade against Cuba

Paris, Jun 17 (Prensa Latina) President of the Commission of Foreign Affairs of the French Senate, Christian Cambon, on Friday condemned the US blockade imposed on Cuba when he received Homero Acosta, secretary of Cuba’s National Assembly.

During this meeting, Cambon advocated for dialogue and cooperation and stressed that this US Cuba policy is not an acceptable solution.

The senator and Cuban deputy, who is also secretary of the Council of State, also discussed the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, a matter related to the bilateral ties.

In this regard, they agreed on the importance of working on strengthening ties at the parliamentary level and other fields.

Acosta heads a delegation of the Cuban National Assembly that has a broad agenda in France and will pay a visit to Brussels, Belgium, next week.

Cuban Ambassador Otto Vaillant also attended the meeting with Gambon at the Senate.
