Havana, Mar 5 (Prensa Latina) Specialists in audiovisual production from Cuba and other countries will give lectures during the 18th Young Exhibition of the Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC), to be held in Havana from April 4 to 9, the organizers inform on Monday.
The academic section will have the participation of Cuban-American director Dinorah de Jesus, for direct animation workshops, while Mexican Mario Barro will address in his classes the new trends on film creation with mobile phones.
De Jesus’ proposal is divided into three moments aimed primarily at creating the shoot by hand, then edit and finally transfer the final project to digital video format.
The artist will provide the main materials and specialized instruments for the production such as mini-moviola, illuminated boxes, film machine, film rolls, camera tripod and laptop.
Barro invites the creators to participate in his workshop-lecture entitled ‘Nor Edison and Lumiere had mobile phones’, in which a historical overview of the technological evolution in cinema will be included.
The event will gather local and foreign directors, producers, writers, actresses, actors, photographers, sound engineers, editors, designers and other audiovisual artists, who may exhibit for one month three of their works in one of the spaces provided by ICAIC.
