Santiago de Cuba, November 28 (Prensa Latina) Experts from 10 countries will participate in the 21st International Chemical Conference, to be held here next December, sponsored by the Department of Chemistry of the University de Oriente and the Cuban Chemistry Association.
The event is the oldest of these disciplines in Cuba, and will present the update and the perspectives of Physical and Computational, Analytical, Medicinal, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry, Materials and Biotechnology.
Among the most significant moments, there are the course to be taught by Mexican academician Alejandro Baeza on Analytical Chemistry at Total Microscale and a lecture by Cuban Librada García, related to the teaching of this subject in schools.
These meetings began in 1964 and included the granting of the status of distinguished guests to eminent Cuban and foreign professors and scientists, particularly the Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry Ruar Hoffman, from the Cornell University, New York, in 1991.
In this edition, there will a great recognition to personalities who have contributed during the 50 years of the Conference, from which the Cuban Association of Chemistry and the corresponding magazine, came from.
Angola, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Spain, France, Mexico and Poland will be among the nations represented from December 3 to 5 at the event, together with specialists from various universities and scientific institutions in Cuba.
