End of Blockade of Cuba to be Demanded in the U.S.

Havana, Cuba, Dec 11.- Cuban emigration organizations in Miami that make up the Marti Alliance coalition will march on Saturday, December 12, to demand the immediate lifting of the U.S. economic, financial and commercial blockade against the island.

According to Prensa Latina, a motorcade will travel through Miami’s streets to demand the end to these policies considered a violation of the most fundamental rights of the Cuban people, coinciding with the celebration of International Human Rights Day, points out a communiqué issued by organizers on Thursday.

In a process of normalization of relations between the two peoples and governments it is unacceptable that President Barack Obama maintains, inexorably, a criminal policy that makes so much harm to our families in Cuba, especially to the little ones, specifies the text.

The group tackles the “world rejection and condemnation categorically expressed in a unanimous way by the United Nations General Assembly again, just two months ago” in its appeal to put an end to the blockade.(acn)
