Election Campaign to Begin for National Constituent Assembly

Caracas, July 9 (Prensa Latina) Over 6,000 candidates will begin their election campaign on July 30 for electing the 545 members for the National Constituent Assembly (ANC).

This election process will end on July 27 and conduct in the territorial sectors, with 3,546 candidates, and 2,574 sectoral candidates, according to the Venezuelan press.

Those who run as sectoral candidates will have the opportunity to debate this Sunday on some proposals with businessmen, students, disable people, farmers and fishermen, workers and retired people.

In the organizational part, the work of the Zamora 200 Constituent Commander is highlighted, which is aimed at integrating, mobilizing and guaranteeing all logistics campaign processes.

The Constituent Assembly is the great hope for peace, through justice, reunification and reconciliation among Venezuelans, he said.

In order to disclose their ideas and proposals, candidates will have tools such as the National News, broadcasted in joint radio and television signal.

According to its committees, the ANC will be made up of 545 Venezuelans, of whom 173 are representing workers, students, farmers and fishermen, retired people, disabled people and businessmen.

In addition, 364 will support the proposals and solutions by Venezuelan territories and also eight of the indigenous peoples, according to the National Electoral Council (CNE).
