
Havana, Mar 1 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban President, Miguel Diaz-Canel, began last May government visits through the country, working method that already included the 15 provinces with his stay Thursday in western Mayabeque, Presidency of the Republic highlights Friday.
According to the information published on its website, the Mayabeque visit was the widest of all those carried out so far on the country, and was attended by three Government Vice Presidents and around twenty leaders, including ministers and the highest authorities of national institutions.
During the summary of the visit, held in the theater of the provincial administration, the Head of State shared some definitions and concepts, and ratified his call to strengthen productive chains, raise agricultural output for the population and link universities to the economic battle.
Diaz-Canel also advocated ensuring attention to citizens’ problems and speeding up responses.
In this sense, he warned -quoted by the Presidence- the need to combat bureaucracy, starting with the elimination of obstacles that slow down processes and the effective application of legal norms.
With respect to existing difficulties in Mayabeque, the President mentioned the water supply, road deterioration and health and education infrastructure, chains of non-payment and illegalities related to fuel, especially its theft.
Concrete actions are urgently needed to find the best solutions, while in the case of fuel diversion he said to take the processes to the end to know their fate and failures in control.
