Havana, Feb 11 (Prensa Latina) Cuban singer and instrumentalist David Blanco combines music, stories of optimism and love in his latest phonographic production: Feudalismo Moderno (Modern Feudalism), which will be launched on digital platforms on Friday.
Produced by the Bis Music recording label, the album “represents the most mature work of the artist, who in this particular project embraces a more critical and chronicler concept in his songs,” according to a press release from the recording studios.
The communiqué also highlights the artist’s coherence with his style and musical essence, which remains faithful to the fusion of genres from a pop-rock perspective, with a unique blend of metal, blues, gospel, soul, rap, funk and other sounds.
The album features guests such as Kelvis Ochoa, Jorge Robaina (Kamankola), Jotabarrioz, Gabriela Perez and Vocal Renacer, who bring “variety and balance” to the repertoire of the new album.
At the same time the video clip to promote the title track is available on YouTube. The song alludes the impact of technologies in the modern era under the watchful eye of director Felix “Felo” Carbajales and the photography of David Gonzalez.
Considered one of Cuba’s most talented musicians, Blanco is an outstanding singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist, who stands out in the Caribbean island’s sound scene due to the fusion of genres from pop-rock.
In March 2020 Blanco promoted the initiative of online concerts by Cuban musicians from their homes in order to counter the Covid-19 pandemic and in the following months, he created, together with his band, the Backstage project, a virtual serialized show broadcast from his YouTube channel.
