Panama, Apr 8 (Prensa Latina) The Cubans attending the forums parallel to the Summit of the Americas in Panama convened a world message action through Twitter for today with tag #NuestraAmericaIndependiente, aimed at supporting the struggle of the peoples of the region for their sovereignty.
According to the call, the mobilization in the social network Twitter also seeks to reject the presence in the continental event of terrorists and mercenaries paid to slander Cuba, by historical enemies of Havana.
The island’s delegation issued a statement yesterday in which it denounced the presence of mercenaries, considered as offensive.
They said it is the action of a bad-called opposition made from abroad, lacking any legitimacy and propriety, and added that “several of its members, are publicly linked to recognized terrorists who have caused infinite pain to the Cuban people.”
Facing that, a world message action through Twitter was convened for today, and another will be held tomorrow with the tag #NuestraAmericaUnida.
The initiative is also aimed at supporting the Summit of the Peoples, carried out for 10 years as an alternative of men and women of the region facing the Summit of the Americas, the United States organizes under the auspices of the Organization of American States.
