Cuban vice minister receives style copies from Bolivian ambassador

Havana, Oct 8 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Anayansi Rodriguez received today the Copies of Style accrediting Eduardo Pardo as ambassador-designate of the Plurinational State of Bolivia here.

According to a note from the Cubaminrex portal, the ceremony took place at the Foreign Ministry headquarters in this capital.

Diplomatic sources evaluate as positive the current ties between Havana and La Paz, which were suspended after the coup against then president Evo Morales (in 2019) and resumed after the proclamation of Luis Arce as president (2020).

Last month, at the conclusion of the VI Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States in Mexico, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel and his South American counterpart ratified the will to strengthen ties.

Díaz-Canel thanked the unconditional support and expressions of solidarity of that government in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, which sent to the Caribbean nation a donation composed of 2.5 tons of syringes, 16.5 tons of food and one ton of biosecurity material.
