Havana, Mar 28 (Prensa Latina) Director General of Bilateral Affairs of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Emilio Lozada, and the Director of the Americas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, Hugo Shorter, discussed issues on bilateral ties in Havana Thursday.
Lozada wrote in Twitter that during the meeting ‘we verified the positive state of bilateral relations and addressed issues of common interest.’
Shorter traveled to Cuba on the occasion of the visit ending Wednesday of Prince Charles of Wales and the Duchess Camilla of Cornwall, the first made to Cuba by members of the royal family of the European country.
The British official was on Monday at the meeting held by the host president, Miguel Diaz-Canel, and the heir to the UK throne.
Both governments took advantage of the visit of their Highnesses to discuss bilateral relations and ways to boost them in sectors such as education, health, culture, environmental protection and sustainable development.
