Cuban Tourist Group to Widen Hotel Net in Varadero Beach

Varadero, Cuba, Jun 7 (Prensa Latina) Cuban tourist group GAVIOTA will widen its hotel net in Varadero Beach -the biggest resort of Cuba- now with 14 installations and almost 9,600 rooms with high quality.

Gilberto Cruz Cerza, director of Operations, Investments and Quality for Gaviota in Varadero, told reporters of Prensa Latina that the program includes two hotels in a zone called Oasis, with more than 1,000 rooms.

‘The project has a ride on boat and the rehab of the beach, by means of injecting sand. The scheduled time for construction, is calculated from 18 to 24 months,’ he said.

Cruz Cerza mentioned the construction in close key of Hotel Las Nubes -24 stories high and 564 rooms- and the remodelation of Hotel Las Sirenas, the construction of an international golf field and other things.

The main markets – he said – are Canada, Germany, Italy and Spain, compounded by domestic tourism.

With more than 25 years in the Cuban tourist development, Gaviota keeps interest in a fruitful collaboration with current partners, and incorporate new international chains that diversify and improve Cuban tourism industry progressively.

The Gaviota group has also, to provide services to their customers, a marina with over one thousand moorings and boats of various types; a travel agency and a carrier network.

‘Living with the nature, with respect to the environment, and see that tourists may enjoy the sun and the beach, and come back to their respective homes with satisfaction. THat is what we want,’ Cruz Cerza concluded.
