Cuban president thanks international solidarity against US blockade

Havana, May 1 (Prensa Latina) President Miguel Díaz-Canel expressed Monday his deep gratitude for the encouraging expressions of love and solidarity with his people, which have been subjected to aggression and a criminal blockade imposed for over 60 years.

“Ahead of hatred and hostility, #BridgesOfLove are being built of international caravans every single Sunday, which Cuba embraces and thanks. #BetterWithoutBlockade,” Díaz-Canel posted on Twitter.

Nationals and friends of Cuba raised their voices from several cities worldwide to join the Cuban people’s call to end the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States.

Demonstrations are being held in different cities on the last Sundays of every month, organized by the Bridges of Love Project and other solidarity organizations, in order to strongly reject the U.S. economic blockade and support Cuba.
