Havana, May 18 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has received the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Yukiya Amano, who is making an official visit to Cuba.
The website of the Cuban Presidency noted that during the ”cordial meeting they talked about the excellent state of existing relations” between this UN international organization and Cuba, and they talked about the favorable implementation of cooperation projects and the potential for their strengthening.
The source indicates that Luis Longoria, IAEA Director of Technical Cooperation for Latin America and the Caribbean, and Edgard Perez, advisor to the Director General, attended the meeting.
On the Cuban side the meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla and the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, Elba Rosa Perez Montoya were present.
