Cuban Migrants in US Reject Actions against Maduro’s Government

Washington, Jan 25 (Prensa Latina) Members of the Alianza Martiana, a Cuban emigration group in the U.S. city of Miami, Florida, condemned Friday the actions against the legitimate government of Venezuela´s President, Nicolas Maduro.

It is disgusting to witness an interventionist operation violating the independence, sovereignty and right to self-determination of the Venezuelan people, led by the US administration and shamefully supported by Latin American and European countries’, said the coalition in a note.

US President Donald Trump, two days ago, in a new act of interference, recognized the self-proclaimed interim president of Venezuela, Juan Guaido, Head of the National Assembly, Parliament in contempt.

Maduro, facing U.S. interventionism, decided to break diplomatic relations between both nations, and denounced that Washington is leading an operation to impose a coup d’état with a puppet government.

Since the beginning of this month, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry warned about the US destabilizing actions to foment the disregard of the legitimate and democratic institutions of the Latin American country. Those who act against Venezuela show their attachment to the imperial ruling and their betrayal of democratic principles and the constitutional order that has governed the revolutionary process there, Alianza Martiana stated.

If the Venezuelan people remain united, willing to continue defending their conquests of the last two decades (since the arrival in power of leader Hugo Chavez, who died in 2013, and the continuity of Maduro), they will triumph over this interventionist maneuver, Gomez emphasized.
