La Paz, Mar 17 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Health Collaborators’ Clinic in Bolivia held today its 10th Scientific Conference, at which 36 papers were presented by experts on the main pathologies treated last year.

All clinical specialties were represented in the event, including studies on possible affectations produced by heights over 4,000 meters in different departments of this country.

The investigative rigor by doctors and nurses characterized this event, at which a highly qualified jury assessed them to choose the best papers to be presented in the next national scientific event by the Cuban Medical Brigade in Bolivia.

This practice of combining healthcare work with scientific research is common among Cuban health workers in more than 60 countries where they provide services, Dr. Juan Carlos Gonzalez, of the Collaborators’ Clinic, told Prensa Latina.

The objective of the event is to increase scientific and technical work by our health professionals in order to find timely and effective solutions to problems that affect the Bolivian population, Gonzalez said.

The event takes place in three modalities. The first one is the presentation of free issues and lectures in the plenary session, the second one with digital papers and the third one with conventional posters explained by their authors.
