Cuban Foreing Minister Calls for Redoubled Efforts to Free Lula

Havana, April 8 (Prensa Latina) Cuba’s foreign minister, Bruno Rodriguez, has urged for redoubling efforts to free former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who yesterday served an unjust year of political incarceration.

One year after his unjust imprisonment, let us all summon one another and redouble our efforts for his release. End Lula’s political prison. The struggle will continue until the day justice is done, he wrote yesteday Sunday on Twitter @BrunoRguezP.

After receiving a sanction of 12 years and one month imposed by the Federal Regional Court of the fourth region for alleged acts of corruption, Lula remains imprisoned since April 7, 2018.
